How does Anointed work?

A free 30-minute consult with a care coordinator. We learn what you need, draft a written plan, and match you with 2–3 helpers. You choose who comes — the first week is a no-questions trial.

How quickly can a helper start?

For routine schedules we match within 24–72 hours after the initial consult. For urgent post-hospital discharges we can often place a helper the same day in service-area zip codes.

Do I need to commit to a long contract?

No. Care continues month-to-month with two-weeks notice to scale up, down, or out. No annual contract, no cancellation fee.

Can I meet a helper before they start?

Yes, always. We send 2–3 helper profiles for you to review and arrange a 30-minute meet-and-greet in your home before the first shift begins.

What does it cost?

Hourly rates range from $32–$42 per hour depending on level of care, state, and time of day. Live-in care is billed at a daily rate starting at $340. We provide a flat written quote after the consult — no hidden fees.

Do you accept long-term care insurance?

Yes. We work with most major LTC carriers including Genworth, John Hancock, Mutual of Omaha, Lincoln, and others. We handle the daily logs and claims paperwork on your behalf.

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

Most Anointed services are non-medical and not Medicare-covered. We do participate in several state Medicaid waiver programs — your coordinator can check eligibility.

Are there extra fees for holidays or overnight?

Time-and-a-half on major federal holidays. Overnight stays (10pm–6am) are billed at the same rate as daytime hours; live-in is a flat daily rate.

When am I billed?

Weekly, on Fridays, for the week prior. Auto-pay via ACH, credit card, or LTC insurance pre-authorization.

What’s the difference between live-in and 24-hour care?

Live-in care has one helper present 24 hours with an 8-hour sleep period (lower cost). 24-hour care has two helpers rotating 12-hour shifts so someone is awake at all times (higher cost). We help you choose.

Is dementia care really different?

Yes. Our memory-care helpers complete an additional 32 hours of training in the Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care. They’re trained to redirect rather than correct, to validate rather than argue, to keep familiar routines sacred.

Do you provide medical care?

Our helpers provide non-medical care — companionship, ADLs, meals, errands, mobility, medication reminders. For skilled nursing we coordinate with your home-health agency or recommend trusted partners.

Can helpers give medications?

Helpers can remind, organize, and observe — they cannot administer medications. For injections or IV meds, a home-health nurse is required and we’ll coordinate that referral.

What about hospice and end-of-life care?

We work alongside hospice as the in-home presence — providing vigil support, family check-ins, and tender daily care while the hospice team manages the medical side.

Are your helpers employees or contractors?

Every Anointed helper is a W-2 employee with full payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, and access to our benefits program. We do not hire independent contractors.

How are helpers screened?

We run an 11-point screen: FBI fingerprint, motor vehicle, sex-offender registry, drug screen, three professional references, in-person interview, skills assessment, ride-along, plus annual re-checks.

What if my helper is sick or on vacation?

Your coordinator covers with a backup helper from your same regional team — one you’ve typically met. We never send a stranger without a heads-up.

What if the fit isn’t right?

The first week is a no-questions trial. If something’s off — pace, personality, scheduling — call your coordinator and we’ll bring you a new helper at no charge.

Can I request a specific gender or language?

Yes. We match by personality, language, schedule, and any preferences you share. Same-gender care is available everywhere we operate.

What hours are available?

Anything from 3-hour visits to 24/7 live-in. Same helper most days when possible, predictable schedule, no rotating strangers.

Do helpers drive my loved one?

Yes. Every helper passes a motor-vehicle check and carries a $2M commercial auto policy through Anointed. They can transport in your car or theirs.

Who do I call with questions?

Your dedicated coordinator — direct mobile number, day or night. If they’re asleep, our on-call regional manager picks up. Never a phone tree, never a stranger.

How do you document care?

Daily care logs in our family-facing app — what was done, how the day went, anything to flag. You can read them in real time and share with siblings or your loved one’s doctor.

Is my information private?
